Lawyers for Bryan Kohberger want prosecutors punished for failing to hand over required expert witness disclosures. But Idaho prosecutors counter, saying that they’ve turned over thousands of pages of evidence. Defense attorney Anne Taylor wants sanctions, including that judge Steven Hippler exclude some of the state’s expert witnesses from testifying at trial. Kohberger faces charges in the deaths of University of Idaho students Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin in Moscow, Idaho on November 13, 2022. Prosecutors include William Thompson and Ashley Jennings. A central issue asks whether inadequate disclosures deny the defendant basic constitutional due process.
